INTAKE
The first visit with a naturopathic doctor is about 60 minutes in length.
In this visit we go through everything: the entire history of your presenting concerns, your health background, and all the aspects of your health and lifestyle, including your diet, exercise and sleep habits, energy levels, hormones, mood, digestion, and family history.
In this session we put all our facts on the table and you get a chance to tell your story in depth, and ask all the questions you need to.
After the visit I take all your information and do extensive research coming up with a comprehensive treatment plan that I lay out for you in the second visit.
FOLLOW-UP + TREATMENT
1-2 weeks after first meeting, we sit down again to go through your extensive treatment plan. We may conduct a focused physical exam, and talk about lab testing, where I lay out costs and options, and how testing can inform our treatment direction.
We spend a lot of time talking about the plan including why I am making these particular recommendations. My aim is to empower you with the knowledge you need to manage your own health—my goal is that you won’t need me in 6 months, save the odd check-in.
This session is like a mini-science lesson, but focused on you and your body. I also invite all of your input.
Naturopathic medicine involves the delivery of an individualized treatment plan that aims to treat the root cause, not just symptoms.
No two people are alike, and therefore no two treatment plans are alike. This plan will be based on your lifestyle, goals, symptoms, health history and all the other factors that we discussed at your first visit.
Treatment may involve taking herbs or supplements, and making diet and lifestyle changes, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, acupuncture, and counselling.
Our goal is to get your body functioning optimally again, and not to have you rely on supplements long-term.
FEES
Initial Visit: $195
Includes an intake and extensive research on your case.
Follow-up Visit: $150 for 60 minutes
Includes delivery of a treatment plan, brief physical if needed, lab testing, if required, and health education.
Brief Follow-up Visit: $105 for 30 minutes
Includes adjustment to supplement doses, acupuncture treatments, or the delivery of lab results.
No HST is charged on naturopathic visits.
Testing and Supplements: Prices vary.
We will always have a discussion about the necessity and cost of various supplements and also discuss alternative options.
Most health benefits packages include coverage for naturopathic medicine; check your benefits handbook or consult your HR department.
